HR Field Day

The HR Field day is right around the corner. Hope you all are excited and ready for the victory!!

We were asked to make a banner, a cheer and wear t-shirts that represent our team color. I completed the banner and we have a couple options for our cheers. Thought we would share them at the event and decide on one as a team.

**Don't forget to wear a green t-shirt (plain if you have one).**

For those that are participating in the KP Corporate Run tomorrow...Good Luck!

See you all Monday!

Burn 15 More Pounds per Year

Burn 15 more pounds burned each year from adding a few extra miles each week!
By using time periods when you usually have small pockets of time, you can add to your fat-burning without feeling extra fatigue:

* slow down and add one more mile on each run
* walk a mile at lunch time
* walk or jog a mile before or after dinner

(from Jeff Galloway)

How are you getting your steps in? I am trying to do 10,000 per day. I am taking the stairs at the hospitals and taking mini walk breaks troughout the day. I also pack my gym shoes in my car so I can do extra steps when I have free time. If it's raining I walk laps at the mall!

Sassy Meatloaf

Here's a great Weight Watchers Recipe, Sassy Meatloaf

Sassy Meatloaf

Spray a loaf pan with non fat cooking spray.

1 lb ground lean ground beef (<7% fat)
1 1/4 c salsa
3/4 c quick cooking oatmeal oats
1 carrot, shredded
2 plum tomatoes, diced
1/2 c coarsley chopped mushrooms
1/2 c onions, diced

Mix all together and shape into a loaf. Bake in 350 degree oven for about an hour. Makes 6 servings: 4 WW points per serving and this is a flex food.

Also, click here for famous runner Jeff Galloway's latest enewsletter.

Anyone doing any road races this month? I plan to do the KP run walk Sept. 25th! Let's have a great lean and green showing!

How to run efficiently

Good form is something all runners-regardless of ability or experience-can work on. Racers are naturally interested in improving from, for it will help them run faster. But beginners and noncompetitive runners will also benefit from understanding some of these principles, for good form will make anyone's running smoother and more enjoyable.
-Feet should stay low to the ground, with no noticeable knee lift.
-Upright posture
-Stay light on your feet
-Strive to feel relaxed, comfortable and smooth.

Competition Begins!

Game on...the competition begins Thursday, August 14th. Go Green and Lean!
